Glowing up and having fun at home
Hi all,
Part of my glow up plan involves strengthening the relationships with people in my life.
This weekend we have had my partner’s son to stay and we have had two very fun evenings in with more fun planned tonight. We are a fan of board games in our house and like to spend time together, rather than splitting into separate rooms and all being on phones or consoles. They have their place but evenings are family time and we like to make the most of them and have fun together.
I’ve been fortunate enough to be sent the game Frozen Unicorns from Gamely Games to review and last night we had such fun playing it.
Frozen Unicorns is all about making silly statues of animals or people for others to guess. It comes in a really handy size pack that you could easily pop in your bag and take anywhere - parties, school or work, on holiday etc. You get points for guessing correctly but also points for the best statues as you might have a group all acting out one particular statue.
I honestly don’t think we have ever laughed this much playing a game. We stuck to the rules initially and were keeping scores but then it just turned into a giggle fest. We started using props, the dog got involved and we just laughed for ages.
The other half doing his ‘frozen wolf’ :-)
Then the props came started to come out :-) I won’t spoil the game and tell you all the different people and animals in it to make frozen statues of - but let me know what you think were being acted out here.
Then Duke decided he wanted to get involved but I’m not sure he was able to read the card…
On the box the games says 15+ minutes - we easily played for well over an hour. It’s definitely suitable for any age. We ranged from 13 to 50 and all had great fun playing it - a new family favourite.
I would really recommend this game for a family get together, but also I think I can see our work group playing this. Definitely suitable for children as well as adults. If you want to check it out and order yourself Frozen Unicorns - here’s the link to Gamely Games website and you can see the other games they do: https://gamelygames.com/
Thank you s much Gamely Games for such a brilliant evening :-) We are going to have to try out some of your other games!
