October 2020 Reading

I only got through 3 books this month!! I’m not going to make my 100 books in a year at this rate! I need to step this up in November :-) I read…

Maximum Achievement by Brian Tracy

After Eat The Frog I was keen to ready another book by Brian Tracy and quite enjoyed this one. This book looks at different parts of your life and how you can work to achieve the best you can. It contains a lot of examples and stories. Would recommend. 4 out of 5

Haunted Salisbury by Frogg Moody and Richard Nash

I read this on Halloween and really enjoyed it. It covered ghost stories in a lot of places I am familiar with and that I would like to go and visit in the future. There was a mix of older and newer tales, photos and pictures. It was good. 3 out of 5.

Haunted Inns of Hampshire by Roger Long

I was really mixed about this book. He covers a lot of pubs in Hampshire and does go right across the county. He has spoken to people regarding the suspected hauntings. The only thing that brought my rating down a bit was how dismissive he was of certain opinions. I like a book written in a conversational manner like this but felt he had an almost aggressive tone every now and then. But it was good! 3 out of 5
