Day 9 - Getting things done :-)
Hi all,
Hope you are having a good day so far.
It’s 9.10 am here in the UK and I wanted a catch up with you before I get head on into work mode.
Bit mixed on my challenges this week but it’s only Tuesday and I am getting some stuff done this week.
Had an incredibly productive day yesterday work-wise, started tackling some massive projects. I sat at my desk and felt this awful overwhelm but then I heard a little voice in my head saying ‘how would you eat that elephant? piece by piece’. And I decided to just start with half hour on each massive project then change to the next. I was able to do this 3 times which meant a whole hour and a half on each which made a huge dent in these projects. I felt great! So I would really recommend if you’ve got a big project to start on, just commit to spending half and hour on it and once you’ve got going, you’ll find it easier to continue.
With my challenges for the week - I’m now into book 4 and I really need to start logging my 100 books I think. I’ve done come comping and have been drinking more water.
Last night I planted the seeds that had been delivered. I sat on the patio yesterday evening watching the sunset and potting my little plant babies. They are now inside so fingers crossed they get growing.
The Marie Kondo book is on order :-)
I have started writing my book and am over 2,000 words in.
I admit, I didn’t get up early yesterday but I was up at half 6 today.
Still some goals to work on but given that it’s only Tuesday, to achieve that already - I’m happy! I think often we focus on what we haven’t done and it is so important to give ourselves credit for everything we do, however small. Try it today, make notes on everything you achieve - gone for a walk, cooked yourself a good meal, made that awkward phone call? Well done you! I’ve got this and you’ve got this!
